After an illness covering a period of five months due to complications resulting from organic heart trouble, Elnora E., daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Will Williams, passed away at the family residence in Peoria 514 N. Glendale avenue, on Sunday, May 8, at 9:30 p. m. Princeville was the birthplace and early childhood home of the decedent, the family taking up residence in Peoria some two and a half years ago. The following obituary has been contributed for publication: Elnora Evangeline Williams, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Will Williams was born October 18, 1915, at Princeville, Ill. and passed peacefully into Gods repose at the family at 9:30 p. m. on Sunday, May 8, 1927, aged 11 years, 6 months and 20 days. She was the youngest daughter of a family of five children. Besides her mother and father, four brothers survive her, being in order of age as follows; Harold E. of Peoria, Ill., Eugene E. of Chicago, Frederick E. of San Diego, Calif. and Paul E. at home. Brief services were held at the Cumerford Memorial home in Peoria, Tuesday afternoon at 3:30, in charge of Rev. W. E. Shaw, pastor of the First Methodist church of that city. The body was brought to Princeville Wednesday morning and taken to the home of her grandmother, Mrs. E. N. McGinnis, thence to the Methodist church, where obsequies were conducted at 2:30 p. m., Rev. J. W. Dees, the pastor officiating. Interment took place in the Princeville cemetery. The casket
bearers were Jack Cutler, Bob Burley, Raymond Parker, Harold Smith,
Robert Auten and Argyl Sloan. Eight girls of the Sunday school class
acted as honorary bearers. |
