Mrs. Wilhelmina Westbay was born in Stark county on February 19, 1867, a daughter of George Tilford and Susan Hovenden Wasson. She had resided in Peoria county most of her life, and was a member of the Elmwood Congregational Church.

Her daughter, Mary Susan Westbay, preceded her in death in 1918, and her husband, Lewis W. Westbay, died in 1932.

She was the sole survivor of a large family of brothers and sisters, but she leaves many nieces and nephews to mourn her passing.

Her memorial service was held in the Elmwood cemetery at 3:00 PM, Monday, July 6, with the Anderson Funeral Home in charge. Rev. Charles W. Sedgwick officiated. The following nephews served as pallbearers: Lloyd Taylor, Harold Wasson, Robert Wasson, Joe Wasson, David Colvin and John T. Schmidt.
