FUNERAL SERVICES TUESDAY FOR OLLIE WASSON

Funeral services for Ollie Wasson were held at two o'clock Tuesday afternoon from the Anderson Funeral Home, Farmington, the Rev. Charles W. Sedgwick of the Farmington Methodist Church officiating. Interment was in the Elmwood Cemetery.

Mr. Wasson passed away at the Methodist Hospital, Peoria, Saturday evening, February 13, 1943, following an emergency appendectomy. He was 65 years and 18 days old at the time of his death.
A lifelong resident and farmer of this community, he was born in the Graham Chapel neighborhood January 25, 1878, a son of George Tilford and Susan (Hovenden) Wasson, and was married May 17, 1899 to Maude Fish, who survives, together with four daughters, Mrs. Elma Tuttle, of Cramer, Mrs. Ruby Moul, of Trivoli township, Mrs. Rowena Zook and Mrs. Clarinda Wasson, of Farmington; two sons, Robert of Farmington and Joe of Peoria; one brother, Frank of Glasford; and three sisters, Mrs. Sue Schmidt and Mrs. Mina Westbay of rural Elmwood, and Mrs. Dora Colvin of Peoria.

The large attendance at the funeral services was proof positive of the high esteem in which Ollie Wasson was held by his friends and neighbors. His two interests in his life, his family and his friends, were ever the guiding light for his every action. He will be sadly missed by the entire community.
