Mrs. Johanna Sanert, sister of Thos. F. Aylward, passes away Tuesday morning at the home of her brother, where she had made her home for the past eight years. She had been in failing health for several years, but had been ill only since last Friday. Her husband preceded her in death.

The rosary was recited Wednesday morning at the Tretheway funeral home and funeral services were held this morning at St Mary of the Woods church at 9:30. The solemn high mass was said by Rev. J. A. Gordon as deacon and Msg. P. J. Cullerton as sub-deacon. Interment was in St. Mary’s cemetery.

Johanna Sanert, the daughter of James and Elizabeth Butler Aylward, was born Feb 29, 1864 on the Aylward farm in Peoria county. She was united in marriage to Grant Sanert on Dec 19, 1896 at St. Mary’s church. After her marriage she resided in Peoria, until about eight years ago. Mr. Sanert passed away a number of years ago. After the death of her husband Mrs. Sanert made her home with a brother, coming Princeville about eight years ago to reside with her brother Thos. F. Aylward, who is her only survivor.
