|Funeral Services for Mrs. Sadie Sager Are Held Tuesday
Funeral services for Mrs. Sadie Sager of Wyoming were held Tuesday, January 14, at 9:30 in St. Dominicís church with Rev. E. J. Bratkowski officiating. Interment was in St. Patrickís cemetery in Camp Grove. Pallbearers were Jerry Sager, David Sager, Dean Carroll, Richard Carroll, Clement Cox and Kenneth Co, all grandsons.
The rosary was recited Monday in the Cox Memorial home.
Mrs. Sager was born February 19, 1870 in Peoria county, the daughter of William and Catherine Colgan Gill and died Saturday, January 11, in her home on North Galena avenue where she had made her home for seventeen years. She came to the Valley township at the age of three, where she attended the local schools and grew to womanhood. She also attended the Academy of Our Lady in Peoria. She was married to William B. Sager, who preceded her in death March 11, 1931. She was a devout member of St. Dominicís of St. Dominicís church and the Altar and Rosary society.
Surviving are four daughters, Marie and Selena Sager at home, Bernadette, Mrs. R. M. Cox of Wyoming and Kathleen Sager of Peoria; two son Thomas Sager of Speer and William Sager at home. Also surviving are eighteen grandchildren and ten great grandchildren, one brother, William Gill and a sister Ed Kelly of Peoria.
Preceding her in death besides her husband were her parents; one daughter Ursula Carroll; three sisters, Miss Mayme Gill, Mrs. R. J. Fennell and Margaret, who died in infancy and three brothers, Thomas and James E. and Edward, who died infancy.
