| Mervin Marlatt Former Barber Here, Dies Mervin Marlatt, well known here as he had been a Princeville resident and barber many years, passed away Sunday, May 5th in a Galesburg hospital following a stroke suffered the week previous. Since leaving his home in the north part of town a few years ago he has made his home with his son Roy and wife in Galesburg. Albert Mervin Marlatt, son of Melinda and William Marlatt, was born in Stark county May 11, 1854 and died May 5th in Galesburg at the remarkable age of almost 92 years. He was united in marriage with Miss Belle Bingham and to this union was born two children, namely Roy of Galesburg and Mrs. Florence Ingerson of Forestville, Conn. Funeral services were held Wednesday, May 8th, at 2 o'clock at the Bouton memorial home with Rev. Charles Smith of the Methodist church in charge. Burial was in the Princeville cemetery. Besides immediate family of the son and daughter are two
grandchildren, Robert Ingerson and Mrs. Dorothy Fanzzo, several
nieces and nephews and other relatives among those surviving. |
