| Andrew Johnson who has carried on the harness and shoe repairing business in this town for many years past, fell a victim to an attack of pneumonia on Friday last, after a few days illness. He was born in Elsborg county, North Sweden. In the year 1832 and emigrated to this country with his three daughters in the year 1871, subsequent to the death of his wife, locating in Hanna in the year 1885. Ten years after this he was again united in marriage to Mrs. Mary Francis, who now survives hum. From the age of 15 he maintained his connection with the Swedish Lutheran church, and was well known and generally esteemed in this community as a good husband, a loving father, a faithful friend, a man who loved the right and whose influence stood for the principles of christianity whenever assailed. The funeral services was held at the Presbyterian church on Sunday afternoon last and was largely attended. The interment was at the Episcopal grave yard North Limestone. |
