MISS HANNAH MAY HATHAWAY

Yates City, Ill., April 7 Funeral services for Miss Hannah May Hathaway who died at her home in Yates City at 9:20 oclock Tuesday morning after only a few days of serious illness, were held at the Yates City Methodist church yesterday afternoon with Rev, C.W. Leonard of Hermon, Ill., assisted by M. J. Hall of Elmwood officiating. Burial was in the Brimfield, Ill., cemetery.

Hannah May Hathaway, daughter of Edward Bradford Hathaway and Mary (Swanson) Hathaway, was born May 9, 1858 in Brimfield township. She was never married but for the past 30 years she has made a home for her deceased sisters children, Edwin, Harold, Julia and Mary Elliott of Yates City; their mother being Mrs. Letita Elliott.

She was the third of a family of eight children; the seven others preceded her in death, which were three sisters and four brothers.

Miss Hathaway has been an invalid for several years but was tenderly cared for by her nieces and nephews. She was 80 years old at the time of death.
