Mrs. Hammer Dies At Age 79; Rites Saturday

Mrs. Anna Hammer, 79, of 101 Harrison Homes Ct., died at 3:35 p. m. Wednesday.

Born in Breeds Station, Ill., June 17, 1873 she was a daughter of David and Eliza Vernon Martin. She was married to Charles Hammer, May 20, 1895.

She was a former resident of Princeville and member of the First Presbyterian church there.

Surviving are her husband; four daughters, Mrs. Bertha Frame, Mrs. Emma Short, Mrs. Leatha Lukehart and Mrs. Iva Lockwood all of Peoria; three sons, Dewey Hammer of Princeville, Clyde Hammer of Moline and Verlin Hammer of Peoria; 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. One son Harlan, died April 10, 1950.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p. m. Saturday in Bouton Memorial home at Princeville conducted by Rev. Arnold S. Dalzell of Princeville Presbyterian church. Burial will be in Princeville cemetery.
Friends may call at the memorial home after 4 p. m. Friday.
