Princeville—News of the death of Emmett E. Fast, 73, was received by relatives here Friday afternoon. He died unexpectedly following an apparent heart attack. He has been in failing health but had continued his work with the Farmer’s Insurance Co. of Los Angles, planning to retire this year.

Mr. Fast was one of ten children born Jan. 1 to Allen C. and Hattie Calhoun Fast near Princeville.

Besides his twin, Bryon M. of Brandenburg, Ky., Mr. Fast is survived by his wife, Leora and three children, Pierce, Richard and Mrs. Jean Manwaring. Also surviving are brothers and sisters, Mrs. Rena Dart of Waukegan; Dr. Harry D. of Mackinaw; Leigh of Beardstown, and Mrs. Edith Neff, Miss Harriett and Walter., all of Princeville.

A sister, Gertrude and a brother, Ed, preceded him in death.

Walter Fast left at once for Los Angeles, where burial services will be held early this week.
