George Elliott Dies At Elmwood

Elmwood George Chester Elliott, 68 of Yates City, passed away at 1:15 p.m., Tuesday at his home
Born in Monica, Ill., Feb 27, 1887, he was the son of George and Charity Hathaway Elliott. He married Doris Chase Nov. 4, 1914.

Funeral services will be held at Thursday AT 4:30 p.m., DST, at the Patterson Funeral Home, the Rev. Robert Ward, pastor of the Methodist Church at Yates City officiating. Burial will be in Yates City Cemetery.

Surviving Mr. Elliott are his wife, two sons, Dale and Donald; a daughter, Mrs. Phyllis Bantz, all of Yates City; and five grandchildren.

Also surviving are the following brothers and sisters; Lucian Elliott of Missouri, Mary Elliott, Mrs. Maude Heller, John Elliott and Mrs. Florice Bowhay, all of Yates City and Robert Elliott of Peoria.
