MARGUERITE EDWARDS IS CALLED BY DEATH

After many years of beautiful service for others, Miss Marguerite Elizabeth Edwards passed away quietly November 14, 1925, at her home here in Princeville, at the age of 76. Death was due to senility.

Miss Edwards was born in Princeville, the daughter of Thomas and Sarah Edwards, natives of Ireland.

She leaves to mourn her departure three sisters, Misses Mina and Ellen Edwards of this place and Mrs. Sophia Campbell of Peoria; a nice Miss Edith Campbell of Peoria; an uncle, Forest Edwards of Marseilles.

It can be truly said of her that she lived her life for others. She was a teacher in the first grade of the Princeville schools for more than thirty years. All the little folks loved her and were loved by her. A few years ago, due to failing health, it was necessary for her to give up her school work and since that she has remained at home.

She was a member of the Presbyterian church since girlhood, taught in Sunday school and sang in the church choir for many years.

Miss Edwards was cheerful and happy always. Self sacrifice for other was the motto of this life, as all who knew her well can testify. Her life in this community for half a century is her best memorial.

Funeral service were held from the Presbyterian church Monday afternoon, Rev. John Acheson of Princeville, officiating, assisted by Rev J. F. Bliss of this place. Interment was in the Princeville cemetery.

Among the relatives present at the funeral were Forrest Edwards of Marseilles; Miss Ellen Edwards of Peoria; Mr. and Mrs. Delwin Edwards of Monica; and Miss Edith Campbell of Peoria.
