ORA MATLIN COLVIN

Funeral services for Ora Matlin Colvin, 77, of Farmington, who died at the Knoxville convalescent home in Knoxville at 4 a.m. June 10, 1949, after an illness of three years, were held Sunday afternoon at 3:30 from the Anderson funeral home in Farmington and burial was in Oak Ridge cemetery.

A retired farmer, Mr. Colvin was born in Knox county April 16, 1872. He was a son of William Andrew and Mary Ellen (Fetters) Colvin.

Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Sue Gibbs, of Arizona; Mrs. Doris Plack and Mrs. Marjorie McCoy, both of Peoria; and Mrs. Bernice McCoy of Maquon; four sons, Don Colvin of Farmington, and Glenn, Wayne and David Colvin, all of Peoria; three sisters, Mrs. Maude Geeseman and Mrs. Edna Valentine, both of Galesburg, and Mrs. LaVada Manock of Elmwood; 17 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
