MRS. M. H. BUCK DIES AT HOME NEAR MONICA

Mrs. M. H. Buck, following an extended illness, died suddenly Sunday morning at her home near Monica.

Ella J., daughter of Jeremiah W. and Nancy A. Harker, was born July 9, 1852, near Harkers Corners, Ill. She was aged 69 years, 2 months and 9 days at the time of her death.

Here marriage to Millard H. Buck occurred August 29, 1876 near Brimfield, Ill.

Mrs. Buck leaves to mourn her departure her husband, one son and four daughters as follows; Charles Buck of Monica Ill., Mrs. Anna Day of Elmwood, Ill., Mrs. Flora Schaad and Mrs. Susan Hogabohm of Monica, Ill. and Mrs. Cora Hayes of Peoria, wife of County Supt. of Schools, J. A. Hayes, also four sister and four brothers; Mrs. Susan Belford, Mrs. M. L. Plummer and Mrs. Margaret Kopp of Peoria and Mr. Addie Barrett of Elmwood, Mr. J. M. Harker, Frank A. and Daniel E. Harker of Peoria and James S. Harker of Brimfield.

She joined the M. E. church in Monica about 29 years ago and had been a devoted member of that church ever since.

Mrs. Buck leaves several friends and grandchildren and one great-granddaughter to mourn her death. She was a devoted wife and mother and a much cherished sister and the community losses a highly esteemed neighbor and citizen whose heart and hand were always ready to work for the best interests of all with whom she associated.

The funeral services were conducted by the Rev. L. P. Bear, assisted by the Revs. James and John Bliss.

The pallbearers were her grandsons Merle and Fred Schaad, Harold Buck and Willard Day and nephews Ward and Herbert Harker. Interment was in the Princeville cemetery.
