| Ill Two Weeks, Former Dunlap Resident Dies Miss Cora Byrnes, 54, died at 10:50 a. m. Wednesday, Feb. 12, 1941 at St. Francis hospital, Peoria, after an illness of two weeks. Services were held at 9:30 a. m. Saturday at St. Clements church in Dunlap, with Rev. Fr. Jordan of St. Ceceilas of Peoria officiating and Rev. Fr. J. A. Gordon of Princeville assisting. Burial was in St. Clements cemetery at Dunlap. The decedent was born April 15, 1886, near Dunlap, daughter of Patrick and Jane Byrnes. Her early life was spent near Dunlap and she moved to Peoria about 25 years ago. Surviving are two sisters and one brother, Mrs. Mary McCarty of Sibley, Iowa, Mrs. Fred Meyer of Dunlap and P. J. Byrnes of Dunlap. Three sisters and two brothers preceded her in death. |
