She was born April 22, 1867, at Harkers Corners, Peoria County, a daughter of Jeremiah and Nancy Kinder Harker. She was married to John E. Barrett March 25, 1891. He died Jan, 27,1924.

They lived on a farm north of Elmwood until 1915, when they moved to Elmwood. She is survived by a brother Frank Harker, Peoria and several nieces and nephews.

She was a member of the Elmwood Presbyterian Church, the Eastern Star and the DAR.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Patterson Funeral Home, with Rev. Richard Chase in charge. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday afternoon and evening.
