On January 5, 2006, Boomer, the lion who lived at the Glen Oak Zoo, died of liver cancer.
He was cremated and buried in the "Whispering Woods" section of Springdale Cemetery.
Boomer was the first animal to be buried in the "Special Heroes" section.
