Mr. Zeigler was
born on July 24, 1867 in Rheinpfalz. There he
was also educated. After 1885 he moved to the
new world. For one year he was in the state of
Pennsylvania. Then he came to Peoria. In 1888
we find him in Des Moines, Iowa. Here he
visited Heighland Park College, pharmaceutical
university. Then later he was in Eagle Grove
and Williams, Iowa, in different pharmacies.
In 1894 he stepped into the pharmacy of the Mr.
Albert and Eugen Zimmermann as provisor. On
March 1, 1900, he took possession of this
pharmacy when it was for sale. It is the only
German pharmacy on the East Bluff. Here H.
Hartig is for 3 years the provisor in this
blooming business. Mr. Zeigler visited the old
homeland 4 times, in the years 1893, 1897, 1902
