Rudolph Vonachen

was on Feb. 21, 1866, born in Peoria. He attended the free German school on Second Avenue as well as the public schools of the city. After he completed his education, he worked in printing at Cremer Bros, later establishing himself in the printing business. In the year 1895 he opened a restaurant at the Kneer Building, at 803 S Adams St. Since 1903 he has operated, with great success, the flourishing “Buffet,” at 411 Main St., one of the finest and most elegant places in the city.
