John Sornberger

was born in Peoria on January 14, 1854. He descends from German parents. His parents came in the year 1835 from Bayern to America and established themselves in Peoria. Mr. Sorenberger opened a German restaurant in the year 1889 which he still operates today as his business. He is a prominent member of the Ancient Order of United Workers No. 202, the Independent Order of Red Men No.70, and the Odd Fellows Lodge No.375. In the year 1876 he married Ms. Katharine Schueblin. The happy marriage sprouted one daughter, Hortense.
