John F. Schweitzer
|
born on Oct.
21, 1853 in Chillicothe, Ohio and came to Peoria in the year
1879. He married on the 21st Sept. 1886 with
Miss Elizabeth Hadank. In the year 1891 he opened a
supermarket on the premises at 719 First Street. After 7
years of success with the business, he gave it up, in order
to open his now well known restaurant/hotel “The Office”.
