Mr. F. W. Schmidt was born February 10, 1827 in Ostrowo in the province Vommern.  In the year 1853 the deceased came to Peoria.   Here he was, as long as he could work and as such he acquired for himself a beautiful fortune.  He died on October 16, 1898.
