George Schleicher
|
was born in Sachsen-Weimar on
Sept. 5, 1826 and came to Peoria in the year
1875 and immediately opened a furniture
business. From a small beginning, he built it by
diligence and honest business practices, so that
he could eventually buy the "Van Master Bleck"
on Adams Street. Mr. Schleicher died on Dec. 5,
1898. Since the death of the father, the
business continues with his sons with much
success. |
