Oscar Heinrich on 14
January 1856 to Peru, Illinois was born. He came to Peoria
in the year 1879 and in the year 1899 he was appointed by
"county clerk," Lucas Butts, as Assistant Clerk, a position
he has held up to now. Mr. Heinrich is, at least for the
German inhabitants in and around Peoria, actually the
"County Clerk" because Germans who go into the office of the
"County Clerk," turn automatically to Mr. Heinrich, since he
can negotiate with them in their native language. Therefore,
Mr. Heinrich’s long time service is liked in our “County
Clerks Office.” Translated by Harry Lundell |
