A. F. Campen
born 1851 in Rorden of Ostfriesland and came,
after he completed High School, to Cleveland
where he learned the pharmacy business. In the
year 1874 he came to Peoria and established
himself as a pharmacist in building No. 1303
South Adams Street. Mr. Campen created in 1891 a
branch at the corner of Sanger and South Adams
Street. As a conservative German, it is to be
said that after 30 years, he is still in the
same business place. |
